Valdese Weavers has introduced a new high performing InsideOut fabric made from yarn developed from the Seaqual Initiative.
TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — Taylor King will debut a partnership with InsideOut Performance Fabrics and Seaqual Initiative at the upcoming High Point Market, featuring a collection of performance fabrics made from processed marine plastic on Taylor King’s handcrafted upholstery.
Taylor King will showcase the new fabrics at its showroom at 200 Steele, suite 304.
The new Seaqual Initiative collection, a line of performance fabrics developed by Valdese Weavers, offers a sustainable solution for performance-covered upholstery.
Along with showcasing Taylor King furniture covered in InsideOut’s Seaqual Initiative fabrics, the showroom will feature an installation demonstrating Seaqual’s mission and process alongside data on ocean pollution.
“Sustainability has always been a driving force behind craftsmanship at Taylor King,” said Del Starnes, president of Taylor King. “We’re proud to partner with Valdese Weavers and Seaqual Initiative to offer a sustainable product in the performance upholstery marketplace.”
To increase awareness, Taylor King will be giving away a chair upholstered in InsideOut’s Seaqual Initiative fabric to a randomly selected user who posts a photo of themselves in the exhibition at Taylor King’s showroom with the hashtag #TKSEAQUAL on Instagram from April 1-6.
