New offers from the Kalos collection include chair cushions in Nubby Stripe, a sofa in Quilted Folklore, and pillows in Horses, Quilted Folklore and Greek Folklore.
CHARLESTON, S.C. – Harwood House, a line of woven textiles, is introducing a second collection in collaboration with designer Cortney Bishop and textile house Holland & Sherry.
Named Kalos, the new collection draws inspiration from Bishop’s Grecian roots, while maintaining the evolving spirit of the family connection.
“Harwood House all ties back to family – whether it’s my immediate loved ones, or lineages of people I admire or mentor, these kinships are my inspiration,” said Bishop. “The new Kalos collection weaves together a design story that honors my Greek roots and praises the art of craft-made, woven textiles.”
Bishop said this sophomore collection pays homage to her grandmother, who was a pivotal creative mentor throughout her childhood. Harwood House’s mission is to carry loved ones’ values and impressions from one generation to the next, and connect with designers and homeowners in a personal way.
Much like the first collection, named Cardinal, Kalos offers a modern interpretation on classic patterns. Several patterns from the first collection have been reinterpreted in alternative colorways, while new weaves play with scale, texture, and whimsy. Kalos’s color palette is a departure from traditional Grecian hues, but instead marks the country’s earthy landscape and golden sunsets.
“Collaborating with Cortney yields stunning results that prove to be an asset to Holland & Sherry showrooms, and the Kalos Collection is more than evident of this,” said Bryan Dicker, Holland & Sherry president. “Our second collaboration with Cortney is yet another display of her enthusiasm for the product, clear design vision and genuine spirit for living, and we’re thrilled to see our partnership continue through a collection which so beautifully reflects her family and heritage.”
Harwood House will be available exclusively through Holland & Sherry showrooms in spring 2022.
